music has shaped my life in so many ways that i can't even begin to dissect each.
the path to my taste has been anything but linear, but one thing i can confidently say is that i'm nowhere near the end of my music journey.

i've been spinning Murray's Revenge - Murs & 9th Wonder a lot recently.
it's the most fun album i've listened to in a while. Murs' subject matter is so diverse on this project, whether it be the trials and tribulations of relationships or the day-to-day life in his hometown. he does it in a way that makes you feel like you're on a journey along with him, which is something i rarely find in an album. the storytelling is done in a way that still makes every experience feel relatable as well. it's a very 'coming of age' album, if that makes sense. it's evident that Murs sharpened the pencil on this album, and 9th Wonder's instrumentals compliment that perfectly. this follows their previous joint album 'Murs 3:16: The 9th Edition' which also includes 10 tracks, and a runtime of under 40 minutes. in my opinion, this amount of music for one album is perfect. not so long that it loses substance, and not so short that you'll be left with more to be desired. i find myself replaying this album pretty much daily, because of how easy of a listen it is, and due to it's incredible instrumentals from 9th. if you ever want something new to listen to, i'll always recommend this album right here.
